Fringe Benefits
The following benefits are to be paid to the New Jersey Carpenters Funds, Raritan Plaza II, P.O. Box 7818,
Edison, NJ, 08818-7818. All monies must be submitted with a completed NJCF benefit form. To request form, please call 1-800-624-3096.

The following is the required breakdown.

Employer Contributed


20%(twenty percent) of the gross wages

25% (twenty five percent).  Job location determines breakdown.
1% (one percent) of the gross wages
21 cents per hour for the Health Safety Industry Funds
5 cents per hour for the Labor Management Cooperative

Deducted From Employees Pay And Remitted With Above:


5% (five percent) of the gross wages

4% (four percent) of the gross wages

The total package is 55% of the gross wages paid.
46% plus 26 cents per hour is contributed by the employer.
9% is contributed by the employee (deduct this portion from the employee’s pay)

This is an eight (8) hour area with one and one-half (1-1/2 times) the rate for overtime Monday through Saturday.  Two(2) times the regular rate for Sundays and Holidays.

The total package, the total contractor cost per hour for a Journeyman Carpenter is $52.15 ($0.26 UBCJA/BCA is not included).
